Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management

HDHigher Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management (3rd year BBA in Hospitality Management)

This is the third year of the BBA Course. At this level students are given the foundations of supervisory activity and are introduced to management as an academic discipline. They are taught business basics against a background of cultural difference as it is manifested in the worldwide hospitality industry.

Requirements for Admission:

  1. Minimum of 18 years
  2. ISBM Diploma or equivalent recognized Higher Diploma
  3. University/School/Institute or Work Testimonial
  4. Proficiency in English – TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent (only for students from non-english speaking countries)

Programme content:

Each year 6 months theory and 6 months paid industry training

  • - Understanding the Hospitality Law
  • - Human resources Management
  • - Basic Hotel & Restaurant Accounting
  • - Tourism & the Hospitality Industry
  • - Marketing in the Hospitality Industry
  • - German Language & Culture
  • - French Language & Culture

 

Academic Goals:

  • - The Students get familiar with Managerial Accounting.
  • - The Students get familiar with Managing Hospitality Human Resources and Understanding the Hospitality Law.
  • - The Students study deep in Marketing in the Hospitality Industry and Tourism.
  • - The Students understand German Grammar.
  • - The Students can understand some French.

We have four intakes per year:

Course Fee (for one year):

  1. Continuation from ISBM Diploma in Hospitality Management: 6'500 CHF for all students (Only Tuition Fee)
  2. Transferring from any Hotel Management School in Switzerland: 9'500 CHF for all students (All-Inclusive fee)
  3. International Students (Direct entry): 21'000 CHF (All-Inclusive Fee)
  4. US and EU/EFTA Students (Direct entry): 12'000 CHF (All-Inclusive Fee)
  5. Swiss Students or holder of a C permit (Direct entry): 8'000 CHF  (Only Tuition Fee)

Our All-Inclusive fee is inclusive of:

    3. Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for 7 days per week. ISBM Hotel Management School will also provide meals during the mid-term breaks)
